About this Event
Homewards is a three-month social onboarding program for newcomers and locals. It’s a great way to meet new people and (re)discover everything Eindhoven has to offer.
During three months, you will:
- Join three fun group events: The Welcome Evening, The Story of Eindhoven, and The Quiz.
- Drop into weekly casual meetups; board game nights, social runs, museum visits, picnics in the park.
- Receive our weekly newsletter with exclusive Eindhoven tips
- Join a community of 120+ fellow "homies", guided by our community managers
Who can join?
Homewards was made for newcomers to the region, whether you're Dutch or from abroad. But even if you've been living in Eindhoven for years, if you're still up for discovering new spots and meeting new people, you're more than welcome to join!
So, what to expect of the program?
Over three months, we’ll help you (re)discover Eindhoven and meet new people along the way:
- First event: Homewards The Welcome Evening | 6 November, 19:30 - 21:30
Kick off your Homewards journey with a cozy, fun Friday evening! We’ve designed a relaxed way for you to meet the group and the rest of the Homewards team. By the end of the night, you’ll have a clear sense of what to expect over the next three months.

- Second event: Homewards The Story of Eindhoven | 12 December, 15:00 - 17:00
How do you really get to know a city? By diving into its history of course! Comedian Luuk van der Vaart will give a lively lecture, making sure that this history class will be anything but boring. In no time, he’ll take you through eight centuries of local history; from cigars to light bulbs, and the barren grounds that formed Eindhoven. We promise that even locals have plenty to learn.

- Third event: The Quiz | 17 January, 14:00 - 16:00
We will go out with a bang! The Quiz is definitely the most active and fun activity of all Homewards activities. You’ll team up with other homies in an afternoon full of games, challenges, and surprises taking place all across Strijp-S, to hopefully take home a price at the end of the day!

But wait...
There's more. Throughout the program, we’ll also organize informal meetups based around your varied interests. In these weekly meet ups, we go out and explore the events the city has to offer, from free festivals, expositions or big festivities like Halloween or Kings Day.
As we truly form a community, we’ll stay connected through a Whatsapp group, where homies also share tips, ask questions, and post useful info. Plus, you’ll receive a weekly newsletter filled with fun ideas to help you explore Eindhoven like a local.
