Homeschool Day: Charlotte’s Web

Step into the world of Charlotte’s Web during Homeschool Day at Heritage Farmstead Museum. This Homeschool Day join your friends Wilbur, Charlotte, and Templeton as they head to the fair. See demonstrators showing off their skills or crafts, and take part in farm chores just like the Arable’s and Zuckerman’s.

• Meet local demonstrators and find out what important craft or skill was needed to live on a farm.
• Do chores the old fashion the old fashion way – washing laundry, plowing a field, feeding the chickens, and milking Buttermilk the Cow (mechanical milking machine).
• Try your hand at fair games.
• Meet the farm animals: pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, turkeys, and Poncho the donkey!
• Ride the wagon around the 4-acre farm

Activities run from 10 a.m. to noon, and the farm remains open until 1 p.m. Families are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy a picnic on the farm. Events often sell out, so advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Purchase tickets online.
