For 35 years, SCCi has been about more than protecting caves. It has been about connecting people to the places they love and to each other through shared experiences underground, around campfires, and across generations of cavers and nature lovers. SCCi's Homecoming Fundraiser Weekend reflects that legacy—a gathering rooted in the relationships, stories, and landscapes that have shaped SCCi from the beginning. It will bring our community together at the Little River Property (the former TAG Fall Cave-In site prior to 2024) for a weekend of camping, caving, music, and connection. For longtime cavers, it's a return to familiar ground and familiar stories. For newer supporters, it's a chance to experience the land, the people, and the spirit that power SCCi's conservation work. This event is open to SCCi members and their guests only.
Spend your weekend caving in TAG or just hanging out, and Saturday night celebrating with a live bluegrass/Americana music jam in the pavilion, shared food, cold beer, and a raffle with great prizes!
Whether you come for the nostalgia, the adventure, or the mission, Homecoming is about showing up for the places and the people that keep bringing us back.
SCCi will host its Annual Members Meeting on Saturday morning from 10AM to 11AM ET. If you are JUST attending this meeting, it is free to attend.
On Friday and Saturday, we will be serving craft beer as we've historically at the TAG Fall Cave-In -- with the purchase of an SCCi beer mug. We will also hold a huge raffle with great prizes throughout the weekend.
Saturday activities:
1. Banquet Dinner (6:30-7:30 p.m.): Turkey meatballs in cream sauce, maple roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and rolls. Also included is a huge salad bar with chocolate cake and banana bread pudding for dessert. (Separate tickets are available.)
2. 35-Year Celebration (8-8:45 p.m.): Discover how far SCCi has come and where we want to be in the next 35 years!
3. Bluegrass/Americana Jam (9-midnight): Bring whatever you play and join in with other local musicians for a jam session by the pavilion. If you don't play anything, stay for the music.
RV camping will be available with electricity-only and limited to 20 spots near the pavilion. Small RVs and campers only. RV's larger than 15' long will not be able to navigate the narrow roadway and sharp curves.
Other important info:
Gates open at NOON on Friday and close at 11pm. (No entry after 11pm until Saturday morning.)
Gates reopen at 8am on Saturday and will remain open for the entirety of the event.
Fire pits or solo stoves only. No on-the-ground fires.
This event will not have a large bonfire.
No pets will be permitted on the property. No exceptions.
This is a family friendly event, and children under 13 are admitted free! Yay!
