The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the Jon Barleycorn on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Chris William is headlining the show and Abdul Hadi and Vincent Giuliano are joining host Mike Peters.The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Vincent Giuliano is a Rochester-based comedian who has performed with Don’t Tell Comedy. He was a semifinalist in the Rochester’s Funniest Person contest in 2026.
The funniest Ethiopian you've ever met, Abdul Hadi is a favorite in Syracuse. He won the Comedy and Chill competition in Syracuse, reached the semifinals of Rochester’s Funniest Person in 2021 and brings a pleasant mix of self-deprecating humor and a love of the finer things in life -- like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Hadi is able to make even the simplest things in life funny.
Shamokin comedian Chris William has been on stage for about a decade. A host of three podcasts, RiffBusters, I’m Annoyed and Up and Up, William is a storyteller, who’ll keep you entertained by spilling chunks of his damaged soul. He’s traveled all over Pennsylvania and New York to make people laugh. He’s performed at the Flagship City Comedy Festival and the NEPA Comedy Festival.
