The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the Jon Barleycorn on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Don Jenkins is headlining the show and Emmett O'Neill and Kyle Voorheis are joining host Mike Peters.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Kyle Voorheis is a comedian from the Finger Lakes region in New York. Raised on a farm by a family of sarcastic pranksters, Kyle has been telling jokes from an early age. Now as a husband and father of four, he still tries to enjoy the quiet, country life. Though it's never that quiet. He has been performing at venues all over New York.
Originally from Washington, Emmett O’Neill has been performing stand-up comedy since 2019. He recently moved from New Orleans to Bloomsburg, Pa., where he co-produces the monthly show “Comedy in Bloom.” He is a semifinalist in the 2023 Harrisburg Hilarious Comedy Competition.
Originally from the Bronx, Don Jenkins honed his comedy in the mean streets of Brooklyn and Queens. After that, he moved onto performing at all the major comedy clubs in New York City, including Carolines, Comic Strip and Broadway Comedy Club. Now living in the Finger Lakes region, Jenkins brings his self-deprecating style of humor and observational comedy to Upstate New York.
