(1992, 120min/color, DCP) Directed by Chris Columbus. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Tim Curry, Brenda Fricker, and Catherine O’Hara.
Somehow, the McAllister family manages to lose Kevin again, and this time he winds up on a plane to New York. While there, he does what any kid would do alone in Manhattan with their parents’ credit card – he checks himself into the Plaza and orders every dessert on room service. Unfortunately, the bumbling crooks played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern arrive in NYC just in time to ruin Kevin’s fun, and madcap hilarity ensues. Many consider this sequel even better than the original, thanks to the metropolitan setting and the addition of the dearly departed Tim Curry and Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker. For all the Lost-in-New-Yorkers out there, this is your chance to revist the BEST Home Alone on the big screen.
