Our next Cellar Sessions event in Durham at @theholygraledurham will be on November 6th. We've got two fab bands lined up both of whom have close ties to the city.@zetapointband
ZETA POINT — County Durham’s purveyors of dark, synthy, guitar-laced goodness. Brooding enough to stare at your shoes to, but packing enough electronic thump to get those shoes moving. Darkwave, indie, pop and after-midnight electronics collide in all the right places.
FFO: New Order, LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, The Cure, MGMT, and dancing like nobody’s watching in a slightly questionable basement.
@theeleopardprint
LEOPARD PRINT — Durham's (and Sunderland's) gloriously wonky purveyors of angular guitars, twitchy rhythms and off-kilter pop. Bright, weird, ridiculously catchy and with just the right amount of chaos. We loved these guys from the very first time we saw them and I'm sure you will too.
FFO: The B-52s, Talking Heads, DEVO, Wet Leg, The Slits, and anyone who thinks being a bit odd is generally a very good thing.
