The holiday season officially comes to life at The Shops at Heavenly Village on Friday, November 27, 2026, with one of Lake Tahoe’s most anticipated holiday traditions — the Heavenly Village Holiday Tree Lighting.
Join us beginning at 6:30 PM as Heavenly Village lights its spectacular 65-foot-tall fresh-cut Christmas tree, transforming the Village into a sparkling holiday destination in the heart of South Lake Tahoe.
Recognized as one of the best tree-lighting events in the nation, this annual celebration brings together locals and visitors for an unforgettable evening filled with holiday lights, festive energy, live entertainment, and community spirit.
This year’s celebration will be hosted by Senator Alexandra Duarte and Sheriff Jeff Leikauf, with a special live performance by Mark Mackay.
Best of all, admission is FREE, making it the perfect way for families, friends, and visitors to kick off Thanksgiving weekend and the Christmas season in Lake Tahoe.
