Wooohooo! It’s almost Christmas! We’ve had so much fun putting on Christmas concerts over the last few years that they’ve become something we look forward to all year long. This year, we’re back for the FOURTH annual Holiday Harmony Jingle Jam, joined by our very talented friend Cody Anderson and an all-star band of Manitoba musicians! We’re making this one bigger than ever!
And this year’s Holiday Harmony Jingle Jam shows are also a bit of a celebration of our brand-new Christmas album. After a couple of years of people asking, “When’s the Christmas album coming?”, we’re so excited to finally be releasing A Merry Prairie Christmas. The album features familiar Christmas carols with our own rootsy, harmony-heavy arrangements, a song we’ve loved for years, and an original song of our own. At this year's Holiday Harmony Jingle Jam, you’ll get to hear the album come to life on stage with the very musicians who recorded it!
Where: Seven Oaks Performing Arts Centre, 711 Jefferson Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2V 0P7
When: Thursday, November 26th. Doors open at 6:30pm, music at 7:30pm.
What: We're gonna be playing a 90-minute set—45 minutes of a Janzen Boys and Friends Christmas experience, followed by 45 minutes of communal Christmas carol singing! All ages are welcome.
Who: The Janzen Boys, Cody Anderson, friends, and YOU!
Why: Because it's Christmas! We’ve put on these Christmas shows for the last few years because we quickly realized how special and important singing and celebrating with a community of people is—something that we don't get enough of these days! And no... you don't have to bring us Christmas presents (though we won't refuse them if you do!)
