CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS are committed to a legacy of excellence, singing and dancing their way into the hearts of the community for over fifty years.
For over five decades, the choral program at Carmel High School has provided students with a well-rounded musical education and unforgettable performance opportunities. Today, the program consists of ten ensembles with more than 500 talented students, making it one of the largest and most accomplished high school choir programs in the region.
Led by choral directors Kathrine Kouns, Kyle Barker, and Anna DeBard, the Carmel Choirs program blends rigorous musical training with a spirit of camaraderie, preparing students for a lifelong love of music or a future career on stage. From competitive show choirs like Ambassadors and Accents to concert ensembles like Rhapsody and Select Sound, each group showcases the breadth of talent within the program.
This tradition of excellence was on full display as the Accents recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary, honoring five decades of sisterhood, music, and unforgettable memories with a milestone concert featuring alumni performances spanning generations.
Whether performing show tunes, contemporary hits, or classic vocal standards, Carmel High School's choirs continue a rich tradition of entertainment, musical development, and community pride—inspiring new generations of young performers to find their voice.
