It's time to break out your most outrageous Christmas sweater and raise a glass to the holiday season!
As part of our 12 Days of Alfond celebration, join us at The Café for Holiday Eggnog & Ugly Sweaters, a festive afternoon dedicated to one of the season's most beloved traditions: eggnog.
Discover the fascinating history of this holiday classic, explore the ingredients and techniques that make the perfect eggnog, and learn how different spirits and flavors have shaped this timeless Christmas favorite.
Enjoy a live eggnog-making demonstration, where we'll walk you through the process of preparing traditional eggnog and share tips for recreating it at home.
You'll also explore how three classic spirits—rum, bourbon, and cognac—bring their own unique flavors to eggnog. Through an informal tasting, discover the differences and choose your favorite.
Then, using a partially prepared eggnog base, you'll put what you've learned into practice by adding your preferred spirit, crafting your own serving of holiday eggnog, and adding the perfect festive garnish.
And don't forget your ugly Christmas sweater! We'll be celebrating the most wonderfully tacky holiday fashion with a festive competition and a delicious prize.
