Who doesn't want a little bubbly this time of year?
Join us for an hour of sparkling wine before the holiday rush. We'll pour four bottles in four different styles, from crisp and dry to soft and fruity, so you can figure out what you like before you buy for the season.
On the pour list:
Veuve Clicquot (92 pts, James Suckling): Firm and delicious, with sliced apple, green pear, a little flint and bread dough. Medium-bodied with fine bubbles and a crisp, dry finish.
Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs (93 pts, Wine Spectator): Lively, refined and festive, with strawberry, lemon, apple and graham cracker that carry through a crisp yet supple finish.
Mumm Brut Prestige (93 pts, Wine Enthusiast): Equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with 10% Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier. Vanilla, cherry and stone fruit, soft and supple on the palate.
Pierre Delize Blanc de Blancs (88 pts, Wine-Searcher): Delicate bubbles and real finesse. Yellow fruit, peach and apricot on the nose lead to a soft, pleasant palate.
