THE ASSEMBLAGE: HOLD ON, WE COMING
A gathering for the people who help bring people into the world.
There are people who spend their days holding space for others through some of life's most tender, powerful, complicated moments.
They are doulas. Midwives. Nurses. Lactation professionals. Birth workers. Maternal health advocates. Educators. Organizers. Researchers. Community health workers. And the many people whose work helps mothers, babies, birthing people, and families feel cared for.
The Assemblage: Hold On, We Coming is an evening for those people.
Come to NEFER for good conversation, something to drink, something to eat, a good book, and a little room to breathe.
There is nothing to prepare. No expertise to prove. Just come as you are.
Maybe you'll meet someone new. Maybe you'll see someone you haven't seen in years. Maybe you'll laugh about something only another birth worker could understand. Maybe you'll leave with a new idea, a new connection, or simply the feeling that somebody else gets it.
Because the people who spend so much time helping others arrive deserve a place to arrive, too.
