About this Event
Do you love discovering different cultures through stories? Then come and join us at our Hodala Meetup in Amsterdam!
We’ll meet at a brewery and social enterprise, where we can enjoy a drink and good company. Meanwhile, , will share fascinating stories about a cultural phenomenon in Taiwan!
Every year on 11th November, Singles’ Day takes place as a major shopping event and cultural phenomenon. Although it’s not an official public holiday, many people enjoy the day by shopping for great deals or going out with friends!
KC will share how people in Taiwan celebrate Singles’ Day and how this foreign culture has been adapted to Taiwanese culture. Of course, she’ll also introduce Taiwan’s dating culture, a topic that many people are curious about!
We can also discuss the similarities and differences between dating culture in Taiwan and in your own cultural background!
So, all you culture lovers, come join us for a meaningful evening filled with stories, cultural exchange, and fun conversations!
Did you know? “HODALA” is a word in Taigi, a language widely spoken in Taiwan, that means “Cheers!” or “Bottoms up!”
