Hey folks, bust out those toboggans and sled on over to Springfield this December for Maverick Moon's annual Winter Hafla! Join us for a jingle and mingle. Enjoy some tasty treats, door prizes, and a night packed with belly dance entertainment and shenanigans. Drummers, feel free to join in during intermission for the open drum circle. Bring your slippers and relax! Bring friends, everyone's invited!(This is a free event, but we will have a donation box. Any amount is appreciated to help cover the cost!)
PERFORMERS: If you're seeing this, you're invited! We currently have no time restrictions or limitations for performances, however it is first come first serve! Send submissions to [email protected] no later than Sunday Nov. 22.
Please include:
• performer name
• song title/artist and song length
• style/genre you'll be performing
• a short and sweet intro to be announced
• you do NOT need to send in your music, as long as you have a device that can hooked up to our sound system (i.e. a phone)
• any other special accommodations we should know about: false endings, props, starting on/off stage, etc.
OPTIONAL: This is a potluck-style hafla, so feel free to bring those signature holiday dishes that you've been bragging about or dying to try...snacks, food, beverages...it's all welcome!
OPTIONAL: Maverick Moon likes to use this event as an opportunity to clean out our dance closets! If you have an excess of gently used belly dance items - attire, jewelry, flowers, skirts, accessories, makeup, shoes, etc., or even that unopened electric shaver from your workplace gift exchange last year, or that hot chocolate mug set that your grandma got you 4 winters ago that you've never touched - throw a bow on it and stick it under our tree for the giveaway! We love seeing items find a second home. You know what they say, "One man's trash is another man's potpourri!"
