About this Event
Join us for a hands-on afternoon exploring the beautiful connection between bees, botanicals, and traditional herbalism.
A local beekeeper will bring a live observation hive, offering a rare up-close look at the fascinating world of honeybees while sharing insights about their vital role in our ecosystem.
We’ll then venture into the field to harvest Turk's Cap, a vibrant flowering plant cherished by bees, and learn how to transform it into a sore throat & dry cough elixir. We’ll sweeten the remedy with local honey, connecting the dots between pollinators, plants, and natural wellness.
You will leave with two gifts from the day: a jar of your own freshly made turk's cap elixir and a jar of local honey to enjoy at home.
Kids come free (accompanied with an adult with a ticket)!
DISCLAIMER: We will be outside in nature at all times, so be ready for there to be bugs (including but not limited to mosquitos).
