The history of Southern Utah is also the story of the families who built their lives here.
Join Thad Seegmiller as he shares the heritage of the Seegmiller family in Southern Utah, along with treasured family stories passed down through the generations.
The Seegmiller family’s Southern Utah story spans generations, from a family member who served as Washington County Sheriff in 1869 to Thad Seegmiller, who currently serves as Washington City Attorney in 2026. Thad will offer a personal look at his family’s connection to Southern Utah and the agricultural history of the Seegmiller farm. The family’s agricultural legacy continues today at Hela Seegmiller Historical Farm, which preserves a portion of the family’s former farmland as a historical farm in St. George.
Come hear the stories behind the Seegmiller name and discover more about one Southern Utah family’s connection to the land and community.
Free and open to the public. No registration required. Handicap accessible.
Events supported by grants from the City of St. George RAP Tax, Utah Division of Arts & Museums, and Washington County RAP Tax.
