Join one of our guides inside the Kirk for a fascinating glance at over 400 years of history.About this Event
Come on in!
Our tour guides will welcome you inside Greyfriars Kirk and help you learn about all the key points in our history, including pre-Reformation Grey Friars, the construction and design of the Kirk, our religious significance then and now, the stained-glass revolution, our organ and, of course, a wee nod to Greyfriars Bobby.
Please note: this tour does not go out into the Kirkyard. But if you're interested in our famous graveyard neighbour, why not stay on after your tour to learn more? You can:
- Check out our Greyfriars Kirkyard exhibition, packed with fascinating facts about the graveyard and its history.
- Chat with one of our knowledgeable volunteers, who will be happy to answer any Kirkyard questions you have.
- Purchase a Kirkyard map from our shop and explore the Kirkyard at your own pace. We have historic and Harry Potter themed maps!
