About this Event
Join the Cleveland Park Historical Society at the Cleveland Park Library for a practical conversation about how they work, told through the real experience of a local homeowner (John Mahshie) who recently completed an easement with the L’Enfant Trust.
CPHS Board Member and architect Stefan Hurray will moderate the conversation. You'll hear from Robert Robidoux, the appraiser who worked on the project, as well as Lauren McHale, President of the L’Enfant Trust, and Anne Brockett of DC’s Historic Preservation Office. Panelists will share insights on the process, timelines, costs, and considerations. Together, they’ll demystify one of the most important tools for protecting historic homes and help homeowners understand whether an easement is right for them.
