This uplifting well-being walk takes us high above the beautiful Borrowdale Valley, combining spectacular mountain views, fascinating local history and the opportunity to enjoy the proven benefits of spending time outdoors. Walking in nature can help improve wellbeing, reduce stress, build confidence and resilience, and provide valuable opportunities to connect with others in a supportive environment.
Our route visits the summit of High Spy, one of Alfred Wainwright's famous Lakeland fells, before overlooking the dramatic Jaws of Borrowdale, where steep crags narrow the valley below. Along the way we'll pass the remains of historic slate quarries, discover recovering upland juniper habitats and, weather permitting, enjoy breathtaking views across Derwentwater and the surrounding fells.
Whether you're joining us for the scenery, the challenge, the conversation or simply some time away from busy daily life, you'll be welcomed into the supportive Blackdog Outdoors community.
