About this Event
Want to learn how to make all the fruit trees get along close together and squeeze higher diversity into small gardens? Come to this workshop to learn the basics of high-density urban agroforestry covering layering, pruning, fertilizing, agroforestry, permaculture, hugelkultur and grafting techniques put on by the Hawai'i Tropical Fruit Growers as part of a series that includes propagation and pruning. Your instructor, Nat Bletter, aka Dr. Leaves, who has been gradening and grafting for 27 years, will cover proper tools and methods for keeping the fruit trees up close and personal in a home garden or industrial sized orchard for good year-long fruit production, dwarfing, multiple varieties, & disease resistance.
