⭐HIFF46 Opening Night: THE NAVIGATOR 🌊Nainoa Thompson made history in 1980 as the first Native Hawaiian in six centuries to navigate a voyaging canoe to Tahiti without instruments. Now, nearly 50 years later, he returns to the open ocean for one final 2,400-mile crossing, guided only by the stars and the teachings of master navigator Mau Piailug.
Join us at the Hawaii Theatre for this Free HIFF World Premiere and Opening Night. Celebrate the start of the festival with an unforgettable evening of cinema, community, and storytelling on the big screen.
