Ever wonder what treasures are hiding in an old farm building?
Welcome to Hide And Seek Salvage Sale: a mix of estate sale, salvage yard, vintage treasure hunt, and a maker or artist's goldmine!
We're opening up a farm's drive shed and inviting a limited number of approved applicants to explore and purchase its contents.
Over the years, all sorts of things have been collected, rescued, and tucked away for that ever-popular *"someday."* Now, it's time for some of those forgotten finds to find new homes!
🔎 WHAT MIGHT YOU FIND?
Reclaimed wood, old doors and windows, wooden ladders, chicken wire, crates, metal bins, bicycles, sleds, equipment parts, and all kinds of miscellaneous farm finds.
Whether you're a maker or artist searching for materials, a DIY enthusiast with a creative vision, someone looking for useful parts, or a collector who loves an unexpected discovery, you never know what you'll find!
🛠️ HOW IT WORKS
This is a curated, application-based event with limited spaces.
1. **Apply to attend.** Tell us a little about yourself, what you're hoping to find, and how you might use the items. Makers and artists ... we'd especially love to see photos of what you create with your finds!
2. **Wait for approval.** We'll review applications and contact successful applicants with the next steps.
3. **Secure your spot.** Once approved, pay the $50 non-refundable registration fee to secure your timeslot.
4. **Hunt for treasures!** Two customers share each 30-minute search period.
5. **Negotiate, pay, and load.** You'll have 10 minutes to negotiate prices and pay in full, followed by 30 minutes to load your purchases.
Your total time on-site is 75 minutes, including the transition between activities.
⚠️ BEFORE YOU APPLY
This is a working farm building, not a polished retail space. Expect dust, dirt, uneven ground, and potentially awkward or heavy items.
- Sturdy, closed-toe footwear is mandatory.
- Gloves, long sleeves, long pants, and a dust mask or respirator are strongly recommended.
- Bring a flashlight or headlamp, suitable vehicle, and any tools or loading equipment you need.
- Phones must remain inside your vehicle while you're outside it or inside the building.
- Children aged 12 and under are not permitted.
- You may bring up to 3 helpers, with every attendee named in the registration process and completing the required waiver.
- Bring your own muscle! We won't dig through piles, retrieve items, or load purchases for you.
- Items are sold as-is, where-is. You break it, you buy it!
- No holds or later pickups. All purchases must be paid for AND removed during your allotted time.
- A maximum of 2 vehicles is permitted per customer booking.
- Arrive at least five minutes early. Late arrivals lose that time from their search period.
The $50 registration fee is non-refundable. If you can't attend your booked timeslot, you can apply for a future event.
The farm address will be emailed to confirmed attendees the evening before their scheduled timeslot. Because this is a private residence, you are expected to keep the address confidential.
