Please join Harpers Ferry Civil War Round Table for its November 2026 dinner-program at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, November 11th at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 645 Washington Street, Harpers Ferry, WV.
This program will feature Tim Snyder's analysis on Stonewall Jackson's Winter Operations: The Raids Against the C&O Canal and the Bath-Romney Campaign.
This program will explore Confederate General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's raids against the C&O Canal and the Bath-Romney Campaign in the harsh winter of 1861-1862.
This turbulent period for Jackson was marked by his failure to achieve his objectives, a time when his own men questioned his competency as a field commander. Tim will provide a unique look at the famed southern general at the low point of his Civil War military career, just before his acclaimed Shenandoah Valley Campaign of 1862.
Tim Snyder has an M.A. In history from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. His first book, Trembling in the Balance: The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal during the Civil War, was published in 2011. His most recent book, Stonewall Jackson's Winter Operations: The Raids Against the C&O Canal and the Bath-Romney Campaign, December 1861-February 1862, was published earlier this year by Savas Beatie. He lives in Hagerstown, MD.

This 7:30 program is open to the public, but you must reserve your 6:30 dinner by Sunday, November 8th, by contacting Paige Troiano-Rodgers at [email protected] or 240-370-9173.
