HETMA SoCal Higher Ed AV Community Day
November 19, 2026 | Crestron Experience Center | Cypress, CA
Spend the day connecting with Southern California’s higher education AV and technology community. HETMA SoCal Higher Ed AV Community Day brings campus technology managers together to share practical experience, explore what’s changing in learning spaces, and build relationships with peers and the professionals who support their work.
The day begins with a welcome and keynote, followed by an open panel conversation with campus AV leaders. Together, we’ll discuss topics such as the changing classroom, AV/IT convergence, technology refresh cycles, supporting faculty, and the opportunities and challenges AI brings to learning spaces.
After lunch, explore the updated Crestron Experience Center and connect with colleagues during technology demonstrations. The afternoon continues with AI in the Classroom, a discussion led by John Grubin of Crestron, followed by an update on the future of HETMA SoCal Connect and opportunities to strengthen the regional higher-ed AV community.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., join AV After Class, an informal social that welcomes the broader Southern California AV community, including dealers, integrators, and consultants. It’s a chance to keep the conversations going and make new connections outside the usual project and sales meetings.
Whether you manage classroom technology, support campus learning spaces, or work alongside higher education institutions, you’ll find a day focused on shared ideas, practical conversation, and community.
