Bring a touch of modern farmhouse charm to your holiday decor! In this hands-on workshop, perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike, you will build a beautiful, rustic wooden Christmas tree sign from scratch. This class guides you through preparing and securing a multi-plank backing panel with structural cleats, then piecing together a precise chevron/herringbone tree layout using wooden slats. As you construct your piece, you'll apply a gentle white speckling technique to give the background a magical, starry-night finish. To finish the design, you will learn to integrate industrial mixed-media elements by adding a rebar trunk, a classic dimensional barn star topper, and silver tacks that beautifully simulate festive tree lights. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a professional-quality, ready-to-hang wall piece that makes a stunning statement in your home or serves as a thoughtful, handcrafted gift. This beginner-to-intermediate workshop requires no prior woodworking experience, and all necessary materials—including precut lumber, metal hardware accents, stains, paints, fasteners, and tools—are fully provided. Because you will be working directly with these finishes, please be sure to wear comfortable crafting clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint or stain on! Finished project size: 10.5"x30". $40 supply fee payable to instructor the night of class.
