10 Sessions | Fall 2026 10:30 AM & 6:30 PM | Beginning Thursday, September 17
In this class, we will look at ten Bible stories through the lens of archetypes: patterns of human experience that show up in stories across cultures and throughout history. Our framework comes from the 12 archetypes developed by Carol S. Pearson. Each session begins with a short presentation of an archetype, then turns to a biblical story that brings it to life. We will focus on one story per session and take our time with it. Gloria Dei member Dr. David Johnson, M.Div., Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist and Jungian analyst, will be the guest presenter for our first session.
