About this Event
FORMAL EVENT - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: This event is held annually at the Bibb Mill Event Center by Supporting Our Veterans Mentoring Our Youth (SOVMOY) Nonprofit Organization to celebrate our service members both past and present. Additionally, this is an opportunity for SOVMOY and Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Long to give away his $5,000 Scholarship to a Tri-City High School graduate. Also, CSM Long partners with other partners to offer additional scholarships to all who apply. There are two service awards offered during the annual Heroes Ball: Sergeant Major (Retired) Janina Simmons and Sherman Peebles Service Awards are awarded to a male and female making an huge impact within the Tri-City.
This is a Red Carpet event "dress to impress" Formal Event. SOVMOY invites you out for an evening of fellowship, honored service, great food, good music and fundraising. Heroes Ball VI is a fundraising event but geared towards giving back to High School graduates as they pursue higher education.
