Join us at Charlestown Harbour on Friday 2nd May, 12-4pm, as part of our Heritage Days series, celebrating the skills, craft and traditions that bring our historic harbour to life. We’re delighted to welcome Castaway Ropeworks, who will be hosting a hands-on workshop exploring the heritage of rope making - a craft deeply rooted in maritime history.
Come along to learn the story behind the craft and have a go yourself, creating your own rope to turn into a bracelet, headband or keyring to take home.
All ages welcome.
This is a free, drop-in experience, with a small donation welcomed on the day to support the ongoing work of Porthmuer CIC, helping us continue to create meaningful heritage experiences here at the harbour.
Make a day of it - explore the harbour, browse the independent shops (including the iconic Round House), and enjoy an ice cream or chilled cider by the sea.
