Free Workshop funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Come along and make an energy saving thermal cooking bag, a ‘sew cooker’ in fact ❤️
Much like a slow cooker, a thermal cooking bag follows the tradition of hay box cooking where initial heat from the cooker is kept in the casserole dish/cook pot once it’s placed inside an insulating bag.
Materials are available (stuffing will be provided) though in the spirit of upcycling and waste reduction we can make use of old bedding/towels/shirts/pillows/duvets in the construction so please feel free to bring any old textiles that you would like to put to good use.
I will link the HopesaC pattern we will use for this session and some wonderful videos of these being used in humanitarian projects for those interested.
Please contact the page via messenger to book a place.
There are 4 spaces available on May 2nd but if this date is not possible for you please also message as I am happy to run further sessions.
