Fresh herbs are some of the easiest, most rewarding plants you can grow – and some of the most expensive to buy. Join UF/IFAS Leon County Extension agents Molly Jameson and Suzanne Holloway for an evening of growing, propagating, and cooking with herbs.
We'll cover which herbs thrive in our climate, when to plant them, and how to keep them productive through our hot summers and cool snaps. Then it's hands-on: we'll bring in fresh cuttings from our demonstration garden – rosemary and a few friends – and you'll pant them in soil to take home. We'll also mix and take home a custom herb-and-spice blend, with tips on how to put your harvest to work in the kitchen.
Everything you need is provided – pots, soil, cuttings, and seasoning blending supplies. Just bring something to carry your plants home in.
