Her Pleasure Matters Explore women’s sexual pleasure, desire and connection in an open, educational workshop designed for curiosity, learning and reflection.
About this Event

Women's only, educational workshop exploring women’s sexual pleasure, desire and connection, and the many factors that shape our experiences.

Women’s pleasure is talked about more than it used to be, but there can still be a lot we were never taught about our own sexual experiences.

What shapes desire? Why can desire change over time or across different circumstances? What’s actually happening with arousal? How can stress, mental load, relationships, body image, hormones, life transitions and the messages we’ve absorbed about sexuality influence our experiences?

Her Pleasure Matters is a two-hour, in-person workshop creating space to learn about women’s sexual pleasure and desire with curiosity, openness and without judgment.

You won’t be expected to share personal details about your sex life. Come to listen, learn, reflect, ask questions if you want to, and perhaps understand your own sexual experience a little differently.

What We’ll Explore
  • Desire isn’t one-size-fits-all: Explore spontaneous and responsive desire and why changes in desire don’t automatically mean something is wrong.
  • Understanding arousal and pleasure: Learn about sexual response and the many factors that can support or inhibit arousal and pleasure.
  • Your sexual brakes and accelerators: Explore how context, stress, safety, connection and other factors can influence sexual interest and response.
  • The mind-body connection: Consider the roles of stress, mental load, body image, hormones and different stages of life in our sexual experiences.
  • Messages about women’s sexuality: Reflect on cultural, relational and personal messages that can shape how we think about sex, desire and pleasure.
  • Knowing what you like: Explore pleasure, curiosity and developing a better understanding of your own preferences.
  • Communication and connection: Consider how we communicate about pleasure, desire and what we want, whether partnered or not.

A Space to Learn, Not Perform

This isn’t a workshop about having more sex, pleasing a partner or achieving a particular kind of sexual experience.

It’s an opportunity to learn more about sexuality, pleasure and desire, while exploring some of the many factors that can shape our experiences.

There is no expectation to disclose personal sexual experiences or participate in discussions you aren’t comfortable with. Participation and sharing are always voluntary.
