One night. Five courses. Five pours.
On Thursday, December 3, Hendo's Barrel House is hosting a bourbon pairing dinner with Sazerac. Our kitchen has built a winter menu around five bourbons, and each course comes with its own pour. Matt Ray of the Sazerac House will walk you through every pairing. He will also be crafting a Signature cocktail to kick off the festivities.
The menu
Chef's Bite: Amber & Oak
Slow-roasted pork belly, crisped and lacquered with bourbon and maple, on warm cornbread with pickled apple and flaky salt
Paired with Iron Will Reserve
First Course: Winter Citrus Salad
Blood orange, shaved fennel, radicchio, pistachio, whipped feta, champagne vinaigrette
Paired with Weller 12 Year
Second Course: Pan-Roasted Halibut
Cauliflower purée, brown butter, crispy sage
Paired with E.H. Taylor Single Barrel
Main Course: Coffee-Rubbed Ribeye
Smoked cheddar grits, charred onion
Paired with Iron Will Champions Blend
Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding
Chantilly cream, candied orange
Paired with Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream

- Your ticket includes: five courses and five bourbon pairings. (A 20% Gratuity will be charged in person on the day of the event)
- Age: 21 and over only. Please bring a valid ID.

- Seating: Seating is limited, and this dinner will sell out.

Matt is one of the Experience Team Leads at the Sazerac House, an interactive cocktail museum in downtown New Orleans. He has spent more than twenty years in hospitality, from Walt Disney World to the James Beard Award–winning New Orleans bar Cure. His credentials include:
- WSET Level 3 in Spirits
- Certified Specialist of Spirits
- Executive Steward of the Stave & Thief Society
- U.S. Bartenders' Guild Certified Spirits Professional
- Level 1 sommelier
