20 years on stage
This year marks 20 years since Helt Off played their first live show together. That same year, they also released their second album, I huset – a milestone that cemented the band’s position as one of Sweden’s strongest roots reggae acts.
Two decades of uncompromising energy, musical development and a clear commitment to social and political issues.
Since the release of their self-titled debut album Helt Off in 2004, the band has consistently delivered music and live performances of the highest quality. After I huset came Marknadens soldat, where the political and socially conscious side of the band became even more pronounced. With Sakta i backarna, their musical expression deepened further, while Riktig Riktig showed a mature and tightly connected band operating at full force.
Helt Off was founded by Jens Resch and Måns Asplund, and during the early years Timbuktu was also a frequent collaborator. Over time, the group developed into a full-scale ten-piece band, whose powerful stage presence has made them a recurring and highly appreciated act at clubs and festivals across Sweden.
The band is now working on new music, with the first releases set to arrive in spring 2027 – a long-awaited new chapter for a band that continues to remain both relevant and uncompromising in its expression.
