Tänä vuonna Helsinki Oriental Summer Sessionsissa tanssitaan kuin viimeistä päivää! Studion ovet sulkeutuvat toukokuun lopussa, joten kutsumme sinut mukaan nauttimaan ihanasta itämaisesta tunnelmasta ja huippuopetuksesta vielä tämän kerran! Viikonloppu alkaa rumpukurssilla, minkä jälkeen rytmeihin uppoutumista jatketaan iloisella meiningillä Helsinki Orientalin omien opettajien kanssa sunnuntaihin asti. Iltamia juhlitaan perinteisin menoin elähdyttävien esitysten, vapaan tanssin sekä tarjoilujen merkeissä!
LAUANTAINA 23.5.2026
10:30-12:00 Borgenström: Rumpusessio - Rytmit haltuun darboukan kanssa! Aiempaa soittokokemusta ei tarvita, nopeimmille riittää myös lainarumpuja! (Valitsethan verkkokaupasta oikean vaihtoehdon lainarummulla tai ilman!)
12:10-13:40 Ulla Borgenström: Rytmisessio - Rytmit haltuun tanssien! Sopivaa tekniikkaa ja sarjoja yleisimpiin rytmeihin.
13:50-15:20 Tuija Rinne: Simsimiyya - Letkeitä biittejä ja menevää poljentoa Suezin kanavakaupungeista!
15:30-17:00 Outi of Cairo: Khaleegy - Viehkeää Arabian niemimaan jammailua, halukkaat voivat tanssia korkkareilla!
18:30 LOPPUBILEET! Liput ennakkoon verkkokaupasta 16€, sis. tarjoilu. Lapset 6€, 0-2v. ilmaiseksi (ovet aukeavat 18:00)

11:30-13:00 Ulla Borgenström: Ullan parasta tekniikkaa intohimolla ja rakkaudesta lajiin!
13:10-15:00 Ulla Borgenström: Aleksandrialaistanssi - Veikeä milayakoreografia tanssittavaksi soolona tai ryhmässä Mohamed Shahinin kappaleeseen Mouza Iskandarany. Aiempaa milayakokemusta ei tarvita, nopeimmille riittää myös lainamilayoita!

HELSINKI ORIENTAL SUMMER SESSIONS GRAND FINALE 23.-24.5.2026
Let's dance like there's no tomorrow! We warmly invite you to join us for one more round of Summer Sessions and a fair well to our beautiful studio as we close down at the end of May. The weekend is packed with brilliant workshops and inspiration for dancers of all levels! We begin the weekend with a proper drumming session, to be followed by dancing to some more groovy beats with Helsinki Oriental's resident teachers. Saturday night we party along with smashing performances, free dance and refreshments!

10:30-12:00 Ulla Borgenström: Drum sessions - Learn rhythms with the darbouka! No previous experience required, also drums available for the quick registers!
12:10-13:40 Ulla Borgenström: Rhythm Session - Learn rhythms while dancing! Suitable technique and combinations to the most common oriental rhythms.
13:50-15:20 Tuija Rinne: Simsimiyya - Groovy beats and funky footwork from the Suez channel of Egypt!
15:30-17:00 Outi of Cairo: Khaleegy - Feminine jamming from the Arabian Gulf, you may wear high heels if you like!
18:30 CLOSING PARTY - Cherry picked dance numbers and open stage! Buy your tickets in advance at our webshop 16€, incl. snacks & drinks, Children 6€, 0-2y free. (Doors open 18:00)

11:30-13:00 Ulla Borgenström: The very best of Ulla's technique with passion and love for the Art!
13:10-15:00 Ulla Borgenström: A cheerful Alexandrian style Choreography with the Milaya, to the song Mouza Iskandarany by Mohamed Shahin. We also have a few milayas to borrow for those in need.
