Hels Pattison is a UK Americana artist based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Blending traditional country soul with a raw contemporary edge, she has quickly become a standout voice in the North East.Hels brings her Missed Connections mini-tour to Durham to celebrate the release of her second EP, marking a deliberate shift towards the Americana sound she’s always loved. With a renewed sense of artistic identity and a collection of songs that feel more authentically her than ever, Hels is excited to take this new chapter to some of her favourite venues and towns across the North East.
The EP’s first single, Skinny Dipping in November, caught the attention of Shakk at BBC Introducing, who praised Hels’ growing artistic identity: “Hels has gone from someone who's always sounded great with the band around her, to an artist where you can hear a proper identity.”
Meanwhile, I Love North Shields describes Hels as “one of the most compelling voices in the North East’s vibrant music scene” - a reputation she continues to build through her heartfelt songwriting, distinctive vocals and evolving Americana sound.
