Looking for a meaningful way to give back as a family? Join Lighthouse for our first-ever Helping Hands Day, a family volunteer experience that shows kids and adults how acts of service can make a big difference in our community.On Saturday, November 14, from 10-11:30 a.m., families with children ages 8 and older are invited to our Pontiac headquarters for hands-on volunteering, learning, and fun. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members are all welcome to participate.
Families will rotate through a variety of interactive stations, with opportunities to:
-Sort and pack food for neighbors experiencing food insecurity
-Prepare hygiene kits and winter bundles for those in our shelter
-Participate in a campus-wide scavenger hunt
-Create cards and crafts for Lighthouse clients
It's a chance for families to spend time together, learn about their community, and discover that everyone has something to give.
