This is our chance to stand up as a CommUNITY and save a long standing tradition of lighted Christmas displays in Parkersburg City Park. Holiday in the Park is a nonprofit organization that is down to only 2 volunteers remaining. To pull this off we need volunteers.
There are approximately 72 lighted displays that need to be checked and possibly restrung/wired. it doesn't take any special training to do this, but it can be time consuming.
We need volunteers that will run the booth to collect donations, spread holiday cheer, & hand out candy canes as guests are exiting.
There will be help needed with set up and tear down. routine bulb checks and ensuring extension cords are in proper form.
I know some are wanting to look at the long term. My style is to address the immediate needs and talk about what needs changed once the task is complete. This is not just a seasonal deal, it is an all year planning and prepping type of group. This is a lot to take on, but with many hands it will lighten the load.
Let's do this!🤷🏻
