Hellyers Road Whisky Tasting with Nick Miles
From Tasmanian single malt to richly peated whisky, sherry casks and a very special aged release.
Join us at Cobbler for an afternoon exploring the range of Hellyers Road Distillery, hosted by Brand Ambassador Nick Miles.
Distilled in Tasmania, Hellyers Road has built its reputation around distinctly Australian single malt whisky, combining traditional whisky making with a range of maturation styles, cask influences and expressions.
Across two hours, Nick will guide us through six Hellyers Road whiskies, ranging from approachable core expressions through peat and sherry maturation, before finishing with Hellyers Road Salted Caramel Cream Liqueur.
The Line-Up
Aurora Australis
A Tasmanian single malt bringing together American oak maturation with a selection of complementary cask influences.
Richly Peated — Aged 9 Years
A distinctly smoky expression of Hellyers Road, aged for nine years and showcasing the distillery's peated style.
Oloroso de Jerez — Aged 10 Years
Ten-year-old Tasmanian single malt matured with the influence of Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.
American Oak — Aged 10 Years
A ten-year-old expression showcasing the character of Hellyers Road single malt matured in American oak.
Double Cask
A marriage of cask styles bringing another dimension to the Hellyers Road house character.
Voyager Cask — Aged 20 Years
A special Hellyers Road single malt presentation and a chance to explore one of the more distinctive whiskies in the range.
Salted Caramel Cream Liqueur
We’ll finish the afternoon with Hellyers Road's Tasmanian cream liqueur, combining whisky with rich salted caramel flavours.
Hosted by Nick Miles
Hellyers Road Brand Ambassador Nick Miles will lead the afternoon, taking us through the distillery's story, production and the different maturation and cask styles represented in each bottle.
Expect a relaxed afternoon around the bar rather than a formal lecture — plenty of time to taste each expression, discuss what's in the glass and ask questions along the way.
