Heimspekisamtal er samstarfsverkefni Borgarbókasafnsins og nemenda heimspekinámskeiðsins "Stjórnmál og samfélag" við HÍ þar sem þau undirbúa Opið samtal um formleg réttlætiskerfi og vald, og svo kapítalisma og gildi þess sem er ómælanlegt í okkar samfélagi eins og náttúrulegt umhverfi og tengsl.
Fjögur samtöl fara fram í nóvember í Grófinni og eru þau opin öllum áhugasömum:

Opið samtal á Borgarbókasafninu er umræðuvettvangur þar sem við ræðum saman brennandi málefni á jafningjagrundvelli, með það að markmiði að finna svörin saman, koma málum í farveg og að ólík sjónarmið fái að heyrast.

Philosophy Conversation | Technologies and society
Are all parts of our lives affected by technology? In what ways has technology influenced the society we live in and how we connect?
Join philosophy students in an open conversation about technologies and society, where they introduce a few philosophical ideas relevant to the conversation topic.
All welcome, no participation fee.
"Philosophy Conversation" is a series of open discussions organized in collaboration with the students in the philosophy course “Politics and Society” at the University of Iceland. The focus is on formal justice and power relations as well as capitalism and the value of things that cannot be monetized, such as the natural environment and human relationships. In November four conversations take place and are open to everyone interested in the topics:

Wednesday 13.11.2024 - Nature and Society
Friday 15.11.2024 - Technology and Society
Opið samtal is a conversation platform where we explore different formats of discussions at the library and gain new skills in engaging in respectful exchange on topics that are close to our hearts.
