Rósa og Ásrún munu kynna nýja og nýuppfærða Ónafngreinda sjálfsævisögu danssenunnar í Reykjavík. Sjálfsævisagan er handrit byggt á viðtölum við dansara, danshöfunda, framleiðendur, leikskáld, danskennara og marga fleiri sem taka þátt í danssenunni á hverjum stað. Þessi viðtöl mynda handrit þar sem raddir danssenunnar sameinast í eina rödd – hina ónafngreindu rödd danssenunnar. Á viðburðinum verða leyndarmál, draumar og áskoranir danssenunnar afhjúpaðar. Áhorfendum er boðið að hugsa, ígrunda, lesa og dreyma um betri danssenu saman. Viðburðurinn er hluti af stærra rannsóknarverkefni sem kallast secondhand knowledge.
SECONDHAND KNOWLEDGE er rannsóknarverkefni sem einblínir á lönd sem eru talin vera staðsett, landfræðilega og/eða menningarlega, á jaðri vestræns yfirráðs í samtímadansi. Verkefnið fer fram í formi röð vinnustofa og viðtala og hefur ferðast til Trondheim, Árósar, Rígu, Zagreb, Nikosíu, Syros í Grikklandi, Teheran og Kaíró.

Rósa and Ásrún will present a new and freshly updated Anonymous Autobiography of The Reykjavík Dance Scene. The autobiography is a script written out of interviews with dancers, choreographers, producers, dramaturgs, dance teachers and many more who partake in the dance scene in each place. These interviews form a script, where the voices of the dance scene get unified in one voice, the anonymous voice of the dance scene. During this event the secrets, dreams and difficulties of the dance scene are revealed. The audience are invited to think, reflect, read and dream of a better dance scene together.
This event is a part of a larger research project: secondhand knowledge
SECONDHAND KNOWLEDGE is a research project which focuses on countries that are considered to be located, geographically and/or culturally, on the periphery of the Western hegemony of contemporary dance.This project takes place as series of workshops and interviews and has traveled to Trondheim, Aarhus, Riga, Zagreb, Nicosia, Syros in Greece, Tehran and Cairo.
