The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course teaches you how to help someone experiencing a medical emergency until professional help arrives.CPR and AED
- Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants.
- Safely use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Help someone who is choking.
- Learn the key steps in responding to cardiac arrest.
First Aid and Medical Emergencies
- Use protective equipment and proper handwashing.
- Recognize and respond to heart attacks, strokes, seizures, allergic reactions, and low blood sugar.
- Provide initial care during an opioid emergency.
Injuries and Environmental Emergencies
- Control bleeding, bandage wounds, and help someone showing signs of shock.
- Respond to burns, broken bones, sprains, and eye injuries.
- Help with heat illness, dangerous cold exposure, frostbite, and bites or stings.
