About this Event
Climate change impacts everyone, regardless of age. But when hurricanes, wildfires, or heat waves strike, there are big differences in how well people are able to respond and recover, and older adults are especially vulnerable. Age matters in other ways, too. Experiencing disasters as a child can potentially affect cognitive health later in life. Dr. Lori Hunter will explore how age affects our vulnerability to climate change, why some people face greater health risks than others, and how understanding these connections can help us protect our health as we grow older.
Check in begins at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments served after the talk.
