HEALING SHADOWSA Vigil for Censored Loss
There are losses we are expected to grieve.
And there are losses we are expected to keep quiet about.
The relationship that ended. The pregnancy that didn't continue. The person we could not publicly mourn. The future that disappeared. The community that changed. The version of ourselves that died. The losses that were minimized, complicated, politicized, or simply never given a place to be witnessed.
Healing Shadows is a space for those losses.
This is not a grief support group. It is not therapy. There is nothing to fix, explain, justify, or make sense of.
It is a vigil.
A time to pause.
To remember.
To witness.
To honor what was lost and what remains.
Bring the grief that has nowhere else to go.
Bring a name, a memory, a story, or simply your presence.
You do not have to speak. You do not have to share. You do not even have to know exactly what you are grieving.
You are welcome to come as you are and bring whatever gives you comfort.
Together, we will make space for the shadows—and sit with one another until there is light.
