Human Capital Intelligence: Keeping People at the Centre in the Age of AI
The world of work is changing faster than ever.
Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we work, learn, lead, and do business. New technologies are creating new opportunities — but they are also raising important questions:
• How do we prepare people for the future?
• How do we build workplaces that are productive but also healthy and humane?
• How do we make sure technology serves people, rather than leaving people behind?
These questions are at the heart of HCI 2027 — Human Capital Intelligence, the 5th International Conference of IFTDO's Committee on Women, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship (CWYEE) and the Divatharv Vikas Foundation (DVF), in association with Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi.
The conference will take place on 19–20 February 2027 in New Delhi, India, in hybrid mode — bringing together participants both in person and online from around the world.
The theme of the conference is:
Convergence of Leadership, Wellness & Sustainable Futures in the Age of AI
Artificial Intelligence can process information, identify patterns, and perform many tasks. But human beings bring something equally important: judgment, empathy, creativity, values, wisdom, and purpose.
The future will not be created by technology alone. It will be shaped by how we combine:
Technology + Leadership + Human Values
This is the philosophy of Sangam — the coming together of different strengths to create something greater. This convergence creates the foundation for Human Capital Intelligence.
Four Important Conversations
HCI 2027 will explore four strategic movements.
1. Industry 5.0 and the Future of Work The future of work must be more human-centred. This includes Artificial Intelligence, future skills, reskilling, digital transformation, and the changing relationship between people and technology. The question is not only "What can technology do?" We must also ask: "How can technology help people do better work and live better lives?"
2. Leadership, Wellness and Sustainable Corporate Futures Good leadership is not only about achieving results. It is also about building trust, supporting wellbeing, developing people, and creating organizations that can succeed over the long term. Healthy leaders and healthy workplaces are the foundation of sustainable organizations.
3. Grassroots Innovation and Social Capital Innovation does not happen only in large companies or technology centres. Communities, social entrepreneurs, young people, and local innovators are creating practical solutions to real problems. Sustainable livelihoods, social enterprises, circular economy models, and strong community networks can help create more inclusive growth.
4. Indian Intelligence and Inclusive Futures India has a rich tradition of knowledge, wisdom, leadership, and community thinking. HCI 2027 will explore how Indian wisdom and management ideas can contribute to the future — with women's leadership, youth entrepreneurship, inclusion, and sustainable development as essential parts of this conversation.

Why Human Capital Intelligence Matters
The future will require more than technical knowledge. People will need the ability to learn continuously, the courage to adapt, the ability to work alongside technology, emotional intelligence, ethical judgment, creativity, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose.
Organizations will also need to rethink how they develop their people. The most successful organizations of the future may not simply be those with the most advanced technology. They may be those that understand how to combine technology with human potential.
A Global Platform for Dialogue
HCI 2027 will bring together leaders, researchers, academicians, HR professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers, students, social innovators, and changemakers — sharing research, ideas, experiences, practical solutions, and new models of leadership.
Researchers and practitioners from around the world are invited to contribute papers related to the conference themes. A dedicated track will also focus on Human Capital Analytics & Measurement, using the Phillips ROI Methodology — an opportunity to explore how organizations can measure the value and impact of investments in people, learning, and development.
Looking Ahead
The future of human capital will not be defined by technology alone. It will be defined by the choices we make today.
Will we build a future where people are replaced by technology — or a future where technology helps people reach their greater potential? Will we focus only on productivity — or will we also value wellbeing, purpose, inclusion, and sustainability?
These are important conversations for business, government, education, communities, and society. HCI 2027 is an invitation to begin this conversation together.
