HBCU For Life! - 2025 HBCU College Tour

"It's not a bus ride, it's an experience"

Since 2007, Delta Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, in partnership with the Ivy Rose Foundation, Incorporated has sponsored a week-long college tour to the nation's top HBCUs for approximately 40 high school students. In 2025, we continue sharing the rich histories of these historically black colleges and universities with our young scholars as we embark on our 18th HBCU College Tour. The tour will take place April 14-18, 2025 at a cost of $600 per student.

All interested students and a parent or guardian must attend a mandatory orientation workshop on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon to learn more about the HBCU tour and the program requirements. Registered participants will also attend a series of four Saturday workshops prior to the tour, during which they will receive information on PSAT and ACT Prep, the College Application Process, Essay and Personal Statement Writing, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the college experience.

Past tours have included visits to Morgan State University, Howard University, Norfolk State University, Hampton University, North Carolina A&T State University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University, as well as the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Final itinerary will be availble at the orientation session on Saturday, March 1st.

Participants will be registered on a first come, first serve basis upon submission of the application form and payment of a non-refundable $150 deposit.
