This Halloween, step through the doors of Creative Hub Worcester and into another era, where the cocktails are strong, the jazz is hot, and some of the guests may have been dead for quite some time.
For one unforgettable night, the historic former Ionic Avenue Boys & Girls Club becomes The Original Haunted Speakeasy®, an immersive Jazz Age celebration filled with live music, burlesque, drag, dancing, vintage glamour, cocktails, and delightfully spirited encounters.
And this one is particularly special.
Haunted Speakeasy turns 10. On Halloween night. In Worcester, where it all began.
Sip a welcome glass of bubbles, dance to live jazz by Tricky Niki & The Grave Diggers, and mingle with ghostly socialites, bootleggers, mediums, and other questionable characters who seem to have never quite left the party.
The building is old.
The party is new.
We make no promises about everyone you'll meet inside.

Your evening includes:

Begin the evening with a complimentary glass of bubbly.

Enjoy a selection of bites as you mingle with guests, both living and otherwise.

Jazz, swing, torch songs, and vintage interpretations of modern favorites set the soundtrack for the evening.
💃 VINTAGE DANCE LESSON
No experience — or coordination — required. Learn a few vintage moves before we turn you loose on the dance floor.
✨ BURLESQUE & DRAG PERFORMANCES
Some of New England's most fabulous creatures of the night take the stage throughout the evening.
👻 INTERACTIVE GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS
Our dearly departed hosts will be circulating throughout the evening. Some are charming. Some are mysterious. Some have been waiting an awfully long time for someone new to talk to.

THE AFTER HOURS SOCIETY | $199
26 SOULS ONLY
Some guests attend the party.
Others prefer to do things a little differently.
Your membership in The After Hours Society includes everything in the Speakeasy Pass, PLUS:
🍸 FIVE DRINK TICKETS + A SECRET SURPRISE
Five drink tickets are yours to redeem at the bar throughout the evening.
What else?
We wouldn't be much of a secret society if we told you everything.
🗝️ THE SOCIETY LOUNGE
Somewhere upstairs, the former library has been claimed for the evening by The After Hours Society.
Society members have access to their own private lounge with seating throughout the night.
No haunting for a chair required.
👻 THE AFTER HOURS EXPERIENCE
At appointed times during the evening, a ghost will come looking for you.
Society members will be collected in two groups of 13 souls and escorted away from the party for a private theatrical journey through parts of the old building the other guests will never experience.
Where are you going?
You'll find out.
Expect something atmospheric, theatrical, interactive, darkly funny, and just unsettling enough.
✨ SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
Special identification marks you as one of only 26 members of The After Hours Society for the evening — and certain residents of the Speakeasy may treat you accordingly.
Only 26 souls will be admitted.
Once they're gone...
They're gone.
THE WITCHING HOUR
LATE ADMISSION BEGINNING AT 10 PM
Some creatures only come out late.
Beginning at 10 PM, the doors open once more for those wishing to join the final hours of Halloween.
Step directly into Haunted Speakeasy while the band is playing, the cocktails are flowing, the dance floor is alive, and the spirits have become entirely too comfortable.
The Witching Hour is late admission to the party only.
It does not include the welcome glass of bubbles, hors d'oeuvres, drink tickets, After Hours Society access or experiences, or other earlier-evening offerings.
Drinks are available for purchase at the bar.
Come late.
The spirits won't mind.
A WORD ABOUT YOUR ARRIVAL
This establishment does not exist.
Should anyone ask, you have never heard of us.
Your ticket confirmation will contain a password. Commit it to memory before you arrive.
Present yourself at the door.
The gentleman will know what to do.
DRESS TO HAUNT
Haunted Speakeasy is an immersive Jazz Age celebration, and you are part of the atmosphere.
Think Roaring Twenties & Thirties, cocktail attire, vintage glamour, Art Deco elegance, Ghastly Gatsby, glamorous ghosts, dashing gangsters, haunted socialites, the elegantly undead, and Halloween finery.
Not sure what to wear?
Dressy black never disappoints.
PLEASE LEAVE THESE IN THIS CENTURY
To preserve the atmosphere of the evening, the following are not permitted:
- Jeans
- T-shirts
- Sweatshirts or hoodies
- Shorts
- Baseball caps
- Athletic or sports-logo wear
- Sneakers
- Casual everyday attire
Guests who do not meet the dress code may be denied admission, so please make sure everyone in your party knows before arriving.
If you’ve got it, haunt it.
21+ | NO EXCEPTIONS
Haunted Speakeasy is strictly 21+.
Every guest must present a valid government-issued photo ID for admission, regardless of age or appearance.
Guests who are under 21 or unable to present valid ID will not be admitted.
No refunds will be issued for failure to meet the age, ID, or dress-code requirements.

Haunted Speakeasy has been delighting the living, and entertaining the dead, since 2016.
And this Halloween, we're coming home.
Ten years after the first Haunted Speakeasy in Worcester, we return for our 10th anniversary on Halloween night itself — bigger, stranger, and taking over a remarkable old building with plenty of stories left in its walls.
More than a Halloween party, Haunted Speakeasy is an evening of live entertainment, vintage glamour, immersive characters, cocktails, dancing, and ghostly hospitality designed to make you feel as though you've stepped into another time.
So gather your most glamorous companions, dress for the occasion, and join us for a night you'll remember long after the spirits have gone back to bed.
