We’ll travel together from Berlin to the Harz region by train.

Our destination is Bad Harzburg, where we’ll begin our winter adventure. The trip includes a cable car journey to the forested area above the town, followed by a scenic hike.

Exact train connections, meeting instructions, and the final route will be shared with registered participants before departure.

Itinerary

• 🕖 7:00 AM – Meet at Berlin Central Station – Meet your trip leader and fellow participants at Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Get ready for our winter adventure and check attendance.
• 🚆 7:15 AM – Depart Berlin – Begin our train journey towards Bad Harzburg, enjoying the changing landscapes as we leave the city behind.
• 🕙 10:00 AM – Arrive in Bad Harzburg – Arrive in the Harz region, prepare for the hike, and get a brief introduction to the day.
• 🚡 10:30 AM – Cable Car Adventure – Take the cable car up to the forested mountain area. Enjoy scenic views over Bad Harzburg and the surrounding landscape.
• 🥾 11:00 AM – Begin the Winter Hike – Start our approximately 10 km hike through the Harz forest. Explore peaceful winter trails, enjoy nature, and stop for photographs along the way.
• 🌲 12:30 PM – Scenic Viewpoints & Nature Break – Take a break at a scenic spot, enjoy the winter landscape, and capture beautiful views of the Harz Mountains.
• 🍱 1:00 PM – Lunch Break – Enjoy a packed lunch and warm drinks. Take time to relax and recharge before continuing the hike.
• 🥾 2:00 PM – Continue the Forest Hike – Continue along the winter trails, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and mountain scenery. The route may be adjusted depending on weather and trail conditions.
• 🌄 3:30 PM – Final Hiking Section – Complete the final section of our hike and enjoy a last opportunity for photos and scenic stops.
• 🚡 4:00 PM – Return Towards Bad Harzburg – Make our way back towards the cable car area and descend to Bad Harzburg, subject to cable car operations.
• ☕ 4:30 PM – Free Time in Bad Harzburg – Enjoy a short break for a warm drink, snack, or a little time exploring the town.
• 🚆 5:00 PM – Begin Return Journey to Berlin – Gather at the station and board our return train.
• 🕗 8:00 PM – Arrive in Berlin Central Station – Return to Berlin Hauptbahnhof and conclude our winter adventure.
