The Dunbar Heritage Association (DHA) proudly presents the annual Harvey Miller Day of Service, held on the first Saturday of November to honor the life, legacy, and extraordinary contributions of Mr. Harvey Miller to the San Marcos community.
Affectionately known as “The Good-Lookin’ Fella,” Mr. Miller dedicated 54 years of his life to serving others. As the first Parks Director of the Dunbar Recreation Center, he made a lasting impact on generations of residents. He was also well known for his commitment to keeping the community clean through his efforts collecting and recycling cans in City Park.
His dedication earned him the prestigious Spirit of San Marcos Award in 2008 and recognition as Outstanding Senior Volunteer by the San Marcos Senior Citizen Advisory Board in 2019.
In celebration of his lifelong commitment to service, DHA invites residents of San Marcos and surrounding communities to come together for a meaningful day of community cleanup, neighborhood beautification, and unity.
Renew our community. Restore our neighborhood. Remember his legacy.
Join us as we honor Harvey Miller's legacy by continuing the work he loved—making our community a better place for everyone.
Together, we can make a difference!
