Harvest is a time for celebration! So come along to the Ulster Folk Museum as we celebrate Harvest on Saturday 26th September.
Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in with potato picking and apple harvesting, make your own harvest knot, and enjoy the smells of baking demonstrations in our traditional cottages.
Try berry mashing and apple pressing, watch butter making demos and sample potato bread. See harvest skills in action on our working farm and say hello to our donkeys! Watch threshing, ploughing and straw rope making at the farm, and take a ride in the horse and carriage.
Explore our exhibit buildings, decorated for harvest, enjoy traditional music sessions, and meet our makers as they showcase their crafts. Discover what’s growing in autumn hedgerows with the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland. Bring the little ones along so they can enjoy our children's craft activities.
